Nicola advises creditors, debtors and insolvency practitioners (including local and foreign office holders) on a wide range of insolvency-related matters before the DIFC, ADGM and onshore UAE Courts. Nicola advises on stakeholder rights and duties and acts for liquidators, administrators, trustees, and receivers in their capacity as such, and advises on utilising the procedures available in the UAE Courts to support the ultimate aim of the appointment, and to facilitate recoveries for creditors.
Nicola has been in the Middle East since 2009 and has acted on a number of seminal insolvency and restructuring cases in the region, including Awal Bank — of which Charles Russell Speechlys is the Liquidator — TIBC, Abraaj, Gulf Petrochem and NMC Healthcare.
