Šimon Kopárek is an Associate at Schoenherr, where he is a member of the firm’s Competition, EU & Foreign Trade practice group. He specialises in Czech and EU competition law, including merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance, vertical agreements, significant market power (UTP), and competition litigation. In the area of FDI screening, he has been involved in several high-level proceedings before the Ministry of Industry and Trade and has advised on numerous multijurisdictional projects. In addition to his core competition and FDI practice, he also handles matters relating to intellectual property, unfair competition, public procurement, as well as broader regulatory and compliance issues. He regularly publishes on competition and trade law topics. Šimon holds a Master’s degree from Palacký University in Olomouc and is a member of the Association of Competition Law and Regulation and the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
