Zenobia du Toit is a Director at Miller du Toit Cloete Inc., a firm in Cape Town, South Africa, specialising in all aspects of family law, related constitutional law issues, comparative law, international cases, Hague Conventions, high-end financial disputes, trusts, alternative dispute resolution, PNAs, children’s interests, LGBTQI issues, and artificial reproductive technologies and has a keen interest in developing family law. Zenobia obtained her BA LLB from the University of Stellenbosch, was admitted as an attorney in April 1982 and has practised as such to date. She has worked exclusively in family law, human rights and related constitutional law and commercial law issues since 1 April 1998, and deals with matters from various jurisdictions. She has presented various workshops and talks regarding family law matters, developing family law and gender equality, children’s rights and constitutional law aspects relating to family law. Zenobia has written numerous articles, and participates regularly on panels, and in webinars and expert forums. She has inter alia co-edited a textbook, Family Law in South Africa (2021) and comments regularly on draft legislation and the SALRC issue papers. She is a member of the International Bar Association Family Law Committee and a governor of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
