A&O predicts rise of non-traditional legal services

Organisations will show a marked demand for contract lawyers and document review services over the next five years, according to Allen & Overy.

The law firm has researched the intentions of 198 ‘senior buyers of legal services’ around the world, people who control a collective spend of £3.5b. The A&O report, ‘Unbundling a Market: The appetite for new legal service models’, says that demand for online services will increase from 9 to 37 per cent. Demand for contract lawyers will go up from 63 to 74 per cent. Demand for document review will go up from 34 to 48 per cent. Source: Legal Futures
