US AI-powered automation software business Nintex has hired Sarah Visbeek as general counsel, replacing Camden Hillas who left the company last month.
Visbeek was most recently GC at employee wellbeing software company Limeade, which she left in 2023 after the company was acquired by WebMD. At Nintex, she will oversee all legal matters, bringing with her 15 years of legal experience across the tech and entertainment sectors.
Bellvue, Washington-based Nintex provides process management and workflow automation software to more than 8,000 public and private organisations around the world.
Amit Mathradas, CEO of Nintex, said: “Sarah brings a mix of technology industry experience and strategic legal acumen to Nintex. She will play a critical role in shaping Nintex’s growth strategy globally as we continue to innovate our end-to-end, AI-powered process automation platform to best serve our customers and partners.”
Visbeek spent just over two years at Limeade, originally joining as VP of legal before being promoted to GC a year later. Prior to that she spent three years at desktop gaming company Big Fish Games, including six months as interim GC – her first in-house role.
She previously worked in private practice as a senior associate at Williams Kastner and an associate at Forsberg & Umlauf, both in Seattle.
Hillas, meantime, exited in February to join software company UserTesting as GC after just over nine years with Nintex, having become GC in 2023. She originally joined as corporate counsel from regional US law firm Preti Flaherty. Prior to that she worked at the US Bankruptcy Courts as a judicial law clerk in New Hampshire and New Jersey.
In other recent US tech-related moves, last month US artificial intelligence business Inflection AI hired veteran tech lawyer and Withers partner Doug Mandell as its first GC. Last June, US cloud business Nutanix hired Brian Martin as chief legal officer, replacing Tyler Wall, who retired earlier in 2024.
That same month US tech unicorn Sigma hired Ali Harmer as its first GC from San Francisco boutique Coda Law Group.
And last May, US optical networking business Infinera hired Regan MacPherson as CLO, replacing David Teichmann.
