Santa Monica-based Beats Electronics, the headphone and audio electronics brand founded by hip-hop producer produced Andre ‘Dr Dre’ Young, has appointed a new general counsel.
Rafferty Jackson has been named to the position to provide strategic legal and business advice to the company, reports Socal Tech.
Ms Jackson was previously vice president and general counsel at clothing and outdoor brands firm VF Outdoor, which owns such brands as The North Face, JanSport, Lucy, Eagle Creek, Vans, and Reef.
Boris Bershteyn, the general counsel for the Office of Management and Budget, is set to leave his post later this month, according to Corporate Counsel magazine.
Mr Bershteyn has led the office’s legal team since July 2011 after previously serving as deputy general counsel from 2009 to 2010.
Between the two roles, Mr Bershteyn was special assistant to the president and associate White House counsel.
Before joining the administration, he was a litigator at New York law firm Skadden.
Digital video advertising and analytics company Tremor Video has named Aaron Saltz associate general counsel, reporting directly to Adam Lichstein, chief operating officer and general counsel.
Mr Saltz will be responsible for implementing and overseeing corporate governance and compliance programs and counselling on matters of employment, labor, real estate and intellectual property law, reports Marketwire.
He joins from New York law firm Skadden where he spent the last seven years as a corporate law associate.
