Fox Sport has appointed a new general counsel Leonard Zhukovsky

Fox Networks Group is promoting its deputy general counsel Claudia Teran. Ms Teran will become the general counsel of Fox Sports where she will head up Fox's acquisition of domestic and international sports rights as well as overseeing negotiations and acquisitions for Fox's sports busienss in Latin America, Europe and Asia. She has previously worked for law firm Sidley & Austin. She will continue to report in to Fox Networks Group's general counsel Rita Tuzon.

IPC The Hospitalist Company has appointed Kelli Newman as its general counsel and corporate secretary. She joins the  North Hollywood-based company from Reachout Healthcare America where she was general counsel and chief administrative officer. Prior to that, she was a partner at Michael Best & Friedrich in Chicago.

Velcro Industries has brought its general counsel onto its management team. Gemma Dreher, who has been with the company for four years, joins the team of seven which includes the interim CEO, Scott Filion. Mr Filion said it was critical that every aspect of the global business was incorporated into the strategic management plan. 'Gemma's focus on protecting our intellectual property and trademark drive our goal of creating and delivering innovative fastening solutions..' Ms Dreher previosuly served as senior counsel for BAE Systems.

Jacques Lavoie is to join Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation as its general counsel. He leaves the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) after six years at the company. ENEC has the largest new-build nuclear project in the world and will deliver energy to the United Arab Emirates. Mr Lavoie takes up his position on 3 November 2014.

Global Cloud XChange, the international business unit of Reliance Communications, has appointed Shearman & Sterling senior lawyer Vanina de Verneuil as its general counsel. The new recruit, who has ten years experience representing corporate and financial institutions, will join the company's executive leadership team and assume responsibility for global corporate and legal affairs.

Post Holdings has promoted its company secretary and general counsel Deidre Gray to Senior Vice president, General Counsel and Administration.

BLG Group has hired Tony Vitale to become its new head of legal. Mr Vitale, who joins from YouView where he has worked for two years, will report to corporate services director Ronn Simms. BLG owns comparethemarket.com and bought a personal injury law firm, Minster Law, last year.
