Plant biotechnology group 22nd Century Group has appointed Thomas James as vice-president, general counsel and secretary. Mr James was a partner at Foley & Lardner for 13 years. 'Tom possesses tremendous legal and business knowledge and experience and will be a great asset to our Company,' Joseph Pandolfino, founder and chief executive officer of 22nd Century Group said. 'He has an impressive history of achievement and has been a strong leader throughout his almost 30-year legal career. Tom has served as our outside legal and business counsel for the past decade and I am delighted to have him join our management team.' The company specialises in genetic engineering and plant breeding of nicotine.
Pharmaceutical company Trevena has created a new general counsel position and has hired John Limongelli to the role of senior vice president, general counsel and corporate sectretary. He has over 15 uears of experience working for public life sciences and healthcare companies, having jonied the company from Cigna Corporation where he was associate chief counsel and corporate secretary. He worked at Morgan Lewis Bockius in is early career.
NBCUniversal Executive Vice President and General Counsel Kimberley Harris has assumed the NBC network seat on the NAB TC Board of Directors. Ms Harris joined BBCUNiversal in 2013 and provides legal advice to the company's senior management tean as well as supervising the legal department. She also heads up the company's global regulatory and legislative agenda.
Weyerhaeuser, one of the world's larges private owners of timberlands, has promoted Devin Stockfish to senior vice presdient, general counsel and corporate secretary. Mr Stockfish will succeed Sandy McDade who will retire in July. He reviously worked with the legal team at Starbucks and at law firm K&L Gates.
