US electric utilities giant Pepco Holdings has announced the appointment of Kevin Fitzgerald as executive vice president and general counsel of the company and its utility subsidiaries.

According to the Nasdaq web site, Mr Fitzgerald most recently served as an executive partner for Client Development Strategic Planning, and also as a member of the executive committee for Atlanta law firm Troutman Sanders.

Elsewhere, JetBlue Airways has appointed Michael Carbone as vice president and associate general counsel, where he will oversee employment, litigation and regulatory matters.

Mr Carbone joined the company in 2005, having previously worked in private practice for New York defence litigation firm Gordon & Silber, reports Compliance Week.
