Sumant Nayak has been appointed general counsel at Essar Power, a Mumbai-based subsidiary of London-listed Essar Energy.
Commerce & law graduate Mr Nayak will report to Essar Power Director KVB Reddy, reports the Economic Times.
Essar is involved in sectors including steel, energy, power, communications, shipping ports, logistics and construction.
Bruce McPheeters has been appointed general counsel and secretary at Minnesota-based Ceridian Corporation, a global provider of human capital management solutions.
BusinessWire reports that Mr McPheeters will assume responsibility for the company’s legal and regulatory affairs and will report to Stuart Harvey, Ceridian's chairman, president and chief executive officer.
