Sears Holdings has named Kristin M. Coleman as general counsel, senior vice president and corporate secretary. Ms Coleman has most recently served as Brunswick Corporation's vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of Sears Holdings' legal business,Corporate Communications, Environmental Sciences, Global Compliance, Government Affairs, Internal Audit and Product Safety. Ms Coleman received a bachelors' degree from Duke University in North Carolina and then received a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor.

Robin Chalmers has been appointed as the general counsel of FremantleMedia to replace Sarah Tingay in September. FremantleMedia is one of the largest creators, producers and distributors of television brands globally. Mr Chalmers will be responsible for legal and commercial advice for the company. His role will also include overseeing intellectual property rights.

DocuSign has named Reginald Davis as general counsel and a member of the company's executive leadership team, effective 4 August. Mr Davis formerly served as general counsel and executive vice president of corporate and business affairs at Zynga. He brings nearly 30 years of general business leadership and legal expertise in technology to the company, including his most recent experience as general counsel and EVP at Zynga. Prior to Zynga, Mr Davis led search operations at Yahoo! as vice president and served as VP and associate general counsel. Before  that, he was a partner at Hancock Rothert & Bunshoft. 

PulsePoint, a next-gen advertising technology platform, has appointed Mitchell Eisenberg as general counsel and SVP of Corporate Development. Mr Eisenberg will advise on the company's overarching legal and corporate strategy. He has experience in mergers, acquisitions and IPOs. Mr Eisenberg joins PulsePoint from Mediabistro, where he held the position of EVP development, general counsel and secretary, overseeing its legal affairs and negotiating deals to help grow the firm internationally.

Weatherford International has named Dianne B Ralston as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Ms Ralston joins the company with more than 20 years of legal, compliance and contractual experience in the oil and gas industry. She has worked for Schlumberger in different roles in 1998, including deputy general counsel, corporate, and also deputy general counsel, government affairs and litigation. She also acted as director of compliance for Schlumberger's global corporate Ethics and Compliance program, where she was responsible for development and management.

McGraw Hill Financial Inc has appointed Lucy Fato as general counsel, effective 4 August. The credit rater company hired Ms Fato after Kenneth Vittor decided to retire after 33 years in the company. She joins the company from Marsh & McLennan where she served as deputy general counsel since 2005. Ms Fato is joining the company in the midst of a number of lawsuits, including one from the Justice Department over inflated grates on bonds backed by subprime mortgages in an attempt to win business from Wall Street banks.
