Jardine Matheson has recruited Jeremy Parr as general counsel in Hong Kong. The former head of corporate at Magic Circle law firm Linklaters joins the bank, replacing former Linklaters partner Giles White who is retiring in July 2015.
AMB, the parent company of the Atlanta Falcons, has landed a King & Spalding partner as senior vice president and general counsel. Mike Egan, who represented Arthur Blank when he bought the Falcons, joins the company on 5 January 2015. He will also help on the stadium construction project.
Verizon's public policy head is to replace Randal Milch as general counsel. Craig Silliman will add general counsel to his role at the company. Mr Milch takes up a new position as strategic policy adviser to Verizon's chairman and CEO, Lowell McAdam. Mr Silliman will also report to Mr McAdam, heading up the company's public policy, legal, regulatory, government affairs and security groups. He will take up the role on 1 January 2015.
Biopharmaceutical company Arrowhead Research Corporation has appointed Patrick O Brien as its general counsel. He joins the company from Shire where he was Group Vice President, Legal in the company's Boston office. Before this, he was Chief Legal Officer for Shire's regenerative medicine division and also served as Assistant General Counsel for Johnson & Johnson.
Food manufacturers McCormick & Co has promoted Jeffrey Schwartz to head up its legal division. Mr Schwartz, who joined the company in 2008, previously worked for law firms Jones Day and Akin Gump.
