Mark Rotenberg is to become the new vice president and general counsel of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore after resigning as general counsel at the University of Minnesota.
He will move to his new position on 3 June, reports the Star Tribune.
Mr Rotenberg has been general counsel at Minnesota for 20 years, serving under four presidents and 11 Board of Regents chairs.
American electrical wiring manufacturer Leviton has appointed Meir Blonder as its general counsel, according to PR Newswire.
Mr Blonder will take responsibility for all of the New York-headquartered company’s legal matters and oversee the legal team.
In addition to his role as gc, Mr Blonder will maintain his current position as Leviton's chief intellectual property counsel, supporting Leviton offices and facilities across five countries.
Ethiopis Tafara has been named as the new vice president and general counsel of the International Finance Corporation (IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank).
According to the Bretton Woods website, Mr Tafara was previously the director of international affairs at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.He holds a law degree from Georgetown University, and is a graduate of Princeton University.
