Milwaukee: home to Robert W Baird & Co

Wisconsin wealth management company Robert W Baird & Co has promoted Paul Schultz to general counsel and secretary.
Previous general counsel, Glen Hackmann, has moved on to a new role helping the company improve education in Milwaukee, reports The Business Journal
Mr Schultz joined Baird in 2000 as associate general counsel, and since last summer, he has served as deputy general counsel and chief operating officer of Baird’s legal and compliance departments.

Software company Diligent Board Member Services is to replace chief financial officer Steven Ruse and general counsel Robert Norton after a reported internal probe into compliance missteps.
Diligent, whose software helps directors to manage corporate governance information flows, said it plans to hire staff in compliance with the company’s ‘company’s complicated legal and regulatory environment’.
According to The Scoop, Diligent chairman David Liptak claimed Mr Norton, who was of retirement age and would soon retire, didn’t have experience dealing with so many securities-type issues in multiple jurisdictions.

Julia Akins Clark, general counsel of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), has announced the appointment of Peter Sutton as acting deputy general counsel.
The FedSmith website reports that Mr Sutton replaces Dennis Walsh who was recently appointed regional director for the National Labour relations Board’s Region 4 office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
