Bird & Bird enters Australia via Sydney merger

Bird & Bird is to open next month in Australia, with a headcount of 42, through a merger with technology boutique practice Truman Hoyle.

The current managing partner of Truman Hoyle, Shane Barber, will run the office. He will be one of nine partners. Bird & Bird CEO David Kerr described having an Australian office as ‘was an important step in executing our strategy of continued expansion in the Asia-Pacific region’.
