Bitcoin thefts leave legal world searching for answers

While a UK law firm is preparing a class action over thefts from two bitcoin exchanges, lawyers are dealing with the practical aspects of regulating an anonymous, virtual, global currency.

Selachi, the London law firm, says it has collected together 400 potential plaintiffs and that it expects to begin legal action soon over the collapse of Mt Gox and the theft of US$470m worth of bit coins from it. The US Department of Justice has issued subpoenas to try to find out what happened with the Tokyo-based Mt Gox. One individual, Gregory Greene of Illinois, has already begun a law suit against Mt Gox. Source: ABA News
