The research also reveals that one in four IT managers do not have a process in place for data destruction whilst over half (55 per cent) have not reviewed and adapted data destruction policies. Four out of five are unfamiliar with the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which aims to unify data protection laws to meet the challenges of the digital age and strengthen the protection of online data. The research was carried out by Kroll Ontrack and Blancco.
