The London office of Skadden Arps is to have a new managing partner, replacing the legendery Bruce Buck.
Mr Buck, who set up the office 25 years ago, will remain European managing partner but will hand over to corporate partner Pranav Trivedi who was formerly head of the Moscow office.
Mr Trivedi will be replaced in Russia by Alexey Kiyashko and Dimitry Kovalenko whilst Karyl Nairn QC and disputes partner David Kavanagh will become global co-heads of the firm’s international litigation and arbitration group alongside New York disputes partner John Gardiner.
Meanwhile London energy and infrastructure projects partner Doug Nordlinger will become global head of the energy and infrastructures group, replacing Washington partner Marty Klepper.
Bruce Buck is one of the city’s highest profile lawyers with Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich one of his clients. He is also chairman and director of Chelsea Football Club.
