The aim of the meeting is to provide 'a public exchange on recent developments in commercial law'. This year's themes are energy conservation and renewable energy; and entrepreneurship, including private equity and venture capital. Talks are taking place in Washington, Boston and Orange County, California. Speakers and organisers come from various bodies including the Office of General Counsel in the US and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
Venture capital
Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen will lead China’s delegation. On entrepreneurship, Mr. Wang Jun, Director at the Ministry of Commerce, will discuss China’s administration of foreign-invested venture capital and equity investment enterprises, and policy and prospects for the development of venture capital and equity investment.
