Dentons in merger talks with 80-lawyer London firm

Dentons Dacheng, the world's largest law firm, is understood to be in discussions with London practice Matthew Arnold & Baldwin, whose revenue dropped 13 per cent over the last financial year.

Dentons says it is 'constantly evaluating the market for opportunities', but would not comment on this one specifically. If this merger were to take place in the near future, it would mean that Dentons had agreed three mergers within eight months. Matthew Arnold has an impressive client list that includes Barclays, RBS and the BBC. In a three-year strategy set in 2013, it decided to focus on banking and finance, life sciences and healthcare, and telecoms, media and technology. Source: The Lawyer
