Deutsche Bank has affirmed that its general counsel Dick Walker has the bank’s full support following a report that the bank was being pressurised by Germany’s financial regulator to replace him. A spokesman said that the bank was ‘pleased that Dick Walker is our general counsel and he enjoys the bank’s full support’ adding that ‘media reports to the contrary are categorically false and irresponsible.’ Deutsche Bank is one of six banks fined 1.7 billion eouros last year by the European Union over interbank rates.
