Bankruptcy trustee sues for $21.8 million Ralf Kleemann

The two former heads of failed law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf are facing a clawback suit which is seeking the return of $21.8 million paid to them. The bankruptcy trustee for the firm has sued former executive director Stephen DiCarmine and the former chief financial officer Joel Sanders for the return of the money which saw both earning over  more than $10 million from 2008 to 2012. The lawsuit describes the pay as ‘astromomically generous’ and ‘far in excess of the reasonably equivilant value of the services contracted for or provided.' according to the ABA Journal. The two men are understood to be vigourously  fighting the claims in what is the latest twist and turn of the Dewey & LeBoeuf insolvency.
