Dishonesty on the rise among UK lawyers

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) saw a steep increase in dishonesty cases in 2013, with its resulting interventions increasing from nine cases to 21 in comparison with 2012.

In total, the SRA intervened in the running of 47 law firms in 2013, up from 37 the year before. The interventions relating to dishonesty amounted to 45 per cent of the total in 2013, compared to 24 per cent  the year before. Source: Legal Futures
