Not only is the role of corporate counsel growing in stature but some of today's general counsel are worth millions with Twitter general counsel Vijaya Gadde being a case in point. According to the 'Above the Law' blog, Ms Gadde was appointed general counsel less than 12 months ago but owns tens of millions of Twitter shares amounting to some $28 million.
