At just 32 years old, Mr Okewale has a lot to show for himself. A barrister with London’s hippest human rights set, Doughty Street Chambers, Mr Okewale also dedicates significant chunks of his time to spearheading social justice campaigns in London. Born in Nigeria and raised in Hackney, Mr Okewale founded his own access to justice social enterprise, Urban Lawyers, when he was just 24 years old. He is also currently a trustee for the Boyhood to Manhood foundation and a patron of the Hackney Community Law Centre. He won a mention among the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for ‘services to the community and disadvantaged young people’ alongside around 1,147 individuals who were selected for awards at the OBE, MBE and BEM levels.
