It believes that the domestic security agency AIVD is tapping its communications because it represented several clients who have been accused of extremism and terrorist offences. Michiel Pestman, a criminal lawyer in the firm, said: ‘Dutch law allows [the AIVD] to be involved in every form of telecommunications tapping, including tapping lawyers.
