Eversheds Sutherland US saw its revenue surpass $500m for the first time on record in 2025, according to the firm’s latest US financial results.
Revenue grew 9.2% to $503m, with profit per equity partner rising more than 13.5% compared to 2024. Since 2020, the firm’s US revenue has now grown by 39%. Eversheds said last year’s growth was driven by robust demand in the financial services, energy, TMT, industrials and consumer sectors, as well as an increase in transactional and disputes work.
Lino Mediola, global co-CEO and US chief executive, said: “Reaching this milestone is a direct result of our unwavering dedication to providing an exceptional client experience. We are laser focused on delivering the highest-quality service. Our clients have responded to that, and it is reflected in our results.”
The firm has also been increasing US headcount, hiring a 12-lawyer tax controversy team from Chamberlain Hrdlicka in Atlanta and opening a Silicon Valley office led by litigation partner Bradford Newman, who joined from Baker McKenzie to head up its US complex technology disputes practice.
The firm also added Blake Roberts in Washington DC to co-lead its congressional investigations practice and Negar Tekeei in New York to co-lead its corporate crime and investigations practice. Roberts had previously served as principal deputy general counsel at the US Commerce Department, while Tekeei joined from the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where she served as co-chief of the National Security and International Narcotics Unit.
Adam Cohen, Eversheds’ US executive partner, said: “Our record US revenue is the capstone to an exceptional year for our firm. By approaching our business with discipline and intention, we’ve been able to deliver outstanding results for our clients, all while expanding our capabilities through ambitious recruitment and lateral hires. We’re confident this milestone is another step toward an even stronger future and even greater value for the clients we serve.”
Eversheds has 10 offices in the US – Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Houston, New York, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Washington DC – and is home to more than 430 lawyers, including more than 190 partners.
Meanwhile, Eversheds Sutherland’s international arm posted a 3% revenue rise in its most recent financial results posted in August, with global revenue clocking in at £768.7m.
