Only ten per cent of companies in the financial sector do not use some form of competitive bidding when looking for a law firm, according to the GC Excellence Report 2014. The research also found that 38 per cent of general counsel said that they mainly use competitive tenders whilst 48 per cent said tenders were used occasionally.
