Research from the ACC shows that 40 per cent of chief legal officers in departments around the world with 300 or more staff delegate operational management responsibilities. Among departments with between 50 and 299 lawyers, the proportion is 36 per cent.
Driving value
The role typically covers benchmarking activities, measurement of results, prediction tools and other management techniques.
