Lawyers who used these and other sites potentially affected are being warned to change their passwords and increase their security when the problem is fixed. A post on the Lawyerist site says that changing the password would be the minimum ethical duty of any lawyer who has signed up to these sites. Other affected sites include Mootus, Estate Map, MyCase and CLIO. 

Open-source

The bug relates to OpenSSL, open-source software which potentially allowed people to see encrypted data. There is no evidence, so far, to suggest that data has been stolen or used. Source: ABA Journal
