Eckard Schwarz, an employment specialist who joined Hogan Lovells in 1997, remains a partner at the firm but has been replaced as the office head by IP partner Susanne Karow. According to German media site NDR, energy company EWE allegedly spied on a former employee who was working closely with Hogan Lovells' Hamburg office. It is claimed the company's HR director Nikolaus Behr resigned over the allegations last month.
No further action
The Hamburg district attorney's office conducted an investigation into the claims but no further action is set to be taken. Hogan Lovells refused to comment on the investigation citing client confidentiality. Source: Legal Business
