Hogan Lovells has confirmed that 24 of the 30 trainees qualifying in this round have been offered permanent contracts with the firm, making a retention rate of 80 per cent. According to the firm, 29 of the 30 qualifiers applied for NQ contracts with Hogan Lovells, with 25 subsequently receiving offers from the firm and 24 eventually accepting. The retention rate is largely in line with Hogan Lovells usual performance of 70-80 per cent each round, which is slightly below the industry average.

Of the 23 NQs staying in London, 13 are headed for the firm’s corporate team, while litigation, arbitration and employment will take six between them, finance three and competition, international and intellectual property will take one each.
