HSF Kramer has promoted 25 to partner, in its first promotions round since the merger that created the firm last June.
The firm said the specialisms of many of the new partners reflected its priorities, including energy and infrastructure, private capital, securitisation and class actions, as well as its enhanced capabilities in areas such as IP and high-tech patent litigation and real estate, and its strengths in disputes and transactions.
The promotions cover all HSF Kramer’s regions. London gained seven new partners, the most of any city and up from five in last year’s comparatively lean 19-strong round. There were also six promotions in Sydney, four in Melbourne, two in Paris and one each in Milan, Madrid, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The final two promotions went to employment lawyer Tyler Hendry and energy transactions specialist Danielle MacGillivray in New York, where the firm also promoted five new partners last December across practice areas including investment funds, private equity and structured finance.
Growing in New York and its broader transactional offering were cited as key priorities for HSF Kramer when the merger that formed it went live last year, creating a 2,700-lawyer firm with global revenue of more than $2bn.
The firm has added 35 lateral partners globally since the combination announcement in November 2024, eight of them in New York, including a trio of M&A partners who joined last month from Paul Hastings.
M&A dominated the promotions round by practice area, welcoming four new partners, followed by three promotions in class actions and commercial litigation and two each in energy, corporate projects, energy and infrastructure, and IP.
The rest of the promotions were spread across diverse practice areas, including real estate, arbitration, corporate crime and investigations, planning and corporate finance, among others.
Global CEO Justin D’Agostino commented: “In this momentous year for our firm, these promotions show the depth of talent across our network, underscore our position as a global legal powerhouse – and reflect our commitment to investing in our people. Each of our new partners has demonstrated qualities that reinforce our ability to deliver at the highest levels.”
