Former CMS partner and head of insurance Stefan Segger is making the move to Ince & Co along with associates Barbara Lorscheid and Marie Holzhauer. Mr Segger advises clients in the insurance and reinsurance sector on both contentious and non-contentious matters, regulatory work and competition law.
Eva-Maria Goergen joins from Bach Langheid, where she was a partner and represented insurers and reinsurers on contentious matters.
Attempting to turn a corner
The new office is Ince’s second in Germany after it set-up shop in Hamburg in 2001 and is part of an attempt to reposition the 280-lawyer firm following a period of falling revenues and partnership divisions. The firm last month announced the launch of a new consultancy arm, which will offer non-legal services to the shipping, energy, insurance, aviation, trade and real estate industries.
