Two in five general counsel at companies in the Southeastern US say that international expansion is a driver of business growth whilst 11 per cent said international compliance was a major legal concern for their companies. Furthermore, many of the GCs surveyed expressed a fear that by restricting the use of outside law firms, they could increase their company's exposure if risks were missed or specific skills were not available in-house.
