The request has come from a non governmental organisation, Ometz, which aims to help the Israeli governmental establishment come ‘to be based upon principles of justice and law supremacy, integrity, decency and good governance’. 

Bribery

Mr Olmert is appealing a bribery conviction which he received in March. Such a conviction can be sufficient to have a lawyer expelled from the bar. The request from the organisation also refers to a conviction for breach of trust before the Jerusalem District Court. Source: Jerusalem Post
