Kirkland recruits London head of tax from Weil Gotshal

Weil Gotshal & Manges has lost its head of tax in London, private funds expert Jonathan Kandel, to Kirkland & Ellis.

Mr Kandel has experience, according to Kirkland, across 'private equity, fund formation, special situations and real estate investments'. He joined Weil four years ago from Clifford Chance as part of a four-partner team setting up the Weil London funds group.
