The office will be the third in Asia for Quinn Emanuel which already has bases in Hong Kong and Tokyo. Managing partner John Quinn said: 'China has become a major focus of US regulatory enforcement efforts. We felt we needed a white-collar presence on the ground in Asia.'
Mandarin-speaking ex-prosecutor
Samuel Williamson, formerly head of Asia government enforcement and investigations for Kirkland & Ellis, is expected to be the head of the new office. A former US prosecutor, he is also fluent in Mandarin. Source: The Lawyer
