Quinn Emanuel backs away from suit against Obama

Baker Hostetler and Quinn Emanuel are said to have decided not to be involved in bringing a suit against President Barack Obama over Obamacare.

The suit would have fulfilled a July mandate in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to file a suit against the president for delaying the employer mandate in the Obamacare medical care plan. When the suit did not happen, the first interpretation was that the House’s speaker John Boehner was slowing it down until after tomorrow’s mid-term elections - incase it rebounded against the Republicans. But it is now being reported that the House has had difficulty in finding a law firm willing to bring the case.

Original arguments

David Rivkin of Baker Hostetler worked out the original arguments for the suit but the firm is said to have backed out. It then seemed as if Quinn Alexander would bring the suit but that has not happened. Source: Vox
