KWM to drop SJ Berwin suffix in EMEA
On the first anniversary of its merger on 1 November, King & Wood Mallesons will no longer add 'SJ Berwin' to its name in the EMEA zone.

The US$1b practice now says that it is ‘ready to adopt the one-firm name across all markets’. In a statement, the firm said: ‘We said when we combined with King & Wood Mallesons back in 2013, that we would move towards being called King & Wood Mallesons globally, once we were happy that we’d successfully transitioned the brand.’ The firm currently uses the shorter version of its name in most of the world but adds SJ Berwin in the EMEA area.
