The research revealed that 64 per cent of respondents voiced concerns that techniques employed by price reporting agencies to set benchmarks of products from crude oil to zinc could be manipulated. This could be because sample groups were too small pr there was a lack of independent insight. Many of the commodities such as coal, oron ore, gas and some metals have their prices determined by journalists who gather data on bids, offers and trades. Source: Bloomberg
