There are 26 signatories to the creation of the foundation including Herbert Smith Freehills, K&L Gates, King & Wood Mallesons and Allens. The guidelines cover 13 areas where wellbeing and mental health of staff can be protected - and organisational culture comes out as the most important one. Excessive pressure is seen as a main reason why so many lawyers suffer from depression. Other factors include respect and civility, leadership and expectations and growth and balance. Firms can sign up to develop elements of the guidelines as and when they wish. Source: Lawyers Weekly
