Alecia Schmuhl is accused, alongside her husband, of holding the managing partner and his wife by force in their home, and of malicious wounding. The wife of the managing partner managed to raise the alarm but both of them were hospitalised after the attack. Both are expected to survive.
Depression
Mrs Schmuhl had been seeking release from custody after the November 9 attack. However, the prosecutor in the case held that she remained a threat to the law firm, Bean, Kinney & Korman, in Arlington, which had sacked her. When making the argument that Mrs Schmuhl should be released on bail, her lawyer said that she suffered from depression, was not violent and had been manipulated by her husband. The lawyer had previously said that Mrs Schmuhl, aged 30, had not entered the house of Leo Fisher and his wife Susan Duncan. Mrs Schmuhl's lawyer had said that she had waited outside and was unaware of the plans her husband had when he entered. The judge in the case refused bail. Souce: ABA
