The Baltimore Sun reports that three lawyers from offices of Peter Angelos have requested an additional 30 days to respond to a 26 February ruling because of the complexity of the case.

The lawyers have also asked to expand their written argument to 25 pages from the usual limit of 15.
In the request, the lawyers say the extra time is needed to ‘analyse, apply and address’ the impact of various court rulings which applied to more than 150 separate judgements.
If the request is not granted, the motion for reconsideration would have to be filed by Thursday.
Fraud verdict
The case pertains to an underground gasoline leak at a Jacksonville Exxon station in 2006, which reportedly led to the loss of 26,000 gallons of gasoline over 34 days.
On 26 February, the High Court issued two opinions in two cases arising from the leak which overruled earlier damages awards due to the rejection of a fraud verdict and claims by many plaintiffs for the cost of medical monitoring and for emotional stress.
