An investigation by the BBC - BBC Scotland Investigates: Lawyers Behaving Badly - found that there are 33 lawyers who work for law firms which are on the government list to receive Legal Aid for client work. In one case, a solicitor had been found guilty of assault and domestic abuse. In another a lawyer had a conviction for embezzlement in relation to court fines.
