Linklaters drops out of M&A top 10

Leader of the lawyers league for the last two years, Linklaters is in 13th place for 2013 in the Thomson Reuters tables.

Instead, the US firms Simpson Thacher and Davis Polk, on almost exactly the same volume of deals (US$142b and $141.7b respectively) are the leaders for the rankings which are complete up until 16 December. Slaughter and May comes third ($137.3b). The value of the Linklaters deals fell 72% as the number of transactions it handled slipped from 97 to 75. Source: The Lawyer
