Top litigator Steven Friel's recent work includes acting for bondholders and shareholders in disputes arising out of the restructuring of a number of failed Eurozone banks. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Mr Friel was a partner in the London office of DAC Beachcroft. Prior to that, he practiced from the London and New York offices of Debevoise & Plimpton. At Woodsford, he will report to executive chairman Yves Bonavero.
Dramatic change
Mr Friel commented. ‘The way in which complex commercial litigation and arbitrations are financed has changed dramatically over the past 15 years, a development that I have watched with interest from the perspective of my Trans-Atlantic litigation practice.’ He said it was clear that there was tremendous potential for further growth in the industry.
