The government has had consultations with the Chamber of Advocates in its talks over the proposed Lawyers' Act which is aimed at ensuring lawyers are competent to practise. It would also cover continuous education requirements. Other subjects which lawyers needed to look at included advertising, social media and legal aid reform. Source: Times of Malta
