McGuire Woods moves on Squire Sanders trade team

US law firm McGuire Woods has hired an international trade and competition team from the Brussels office of Squire Sanders .

Brussels trade team swoop Bucchi Francesco

The move sees Vassilis Akritidis and Yves Melin join McGuire Wood as partners, Alessandro Nucara as senior counsel and Yongqing Bao as associate.
The team, led by Akritidis, has experience working with both EU and non-EU companies on matters of World Trade Organisation (WTO) practice, EU legislative processes, and other aspects of international trade.
Commenting, Howard Feller, chair of the firm’s antitrust proactice said: “As more companies are now conducting business on a global basis, the complexities involved in international trade have only become more challenging for our clients. The arrival of this team comes at a perfect time and we are looking forward to them helping us expand our international trade and competition platform.’
McGuire Woods has more than 900 lawyers in 19 offices worldwide including the US, London, and recently Saudi Arabia.
