Media tycoon makes $10m Harvard donation

A philantrophist has donated $10 million to Harvard Law School, the largest donation the law school has ever received.

The media tycoon has donated $10 million to Harvard Law School, the largest donation the law school has ever received.  Sumner Redstone, the executive chairman of CBS and Viacom, made the donation through his foundation and will provide funding for for students who wish to work in the public interest after graduation.He had earlier made a gift of $1 million to the law school where he studied law in 1947 as well as gifting the University of Boston Law School $18 million in 2012. Mr Redstone said of the gift: ' “The need for public service today is greater than ever, demanding innovation and progress to make a fundamental impact.'  Source: Harvard Law School
